Where are we going:

In Eighth Grade Social Studies, the students have been learning about supply and demand. For the next couple of weeks, the students will be learning about the determinants of supply and demand. Students will work through several activities and scenerios to supply and demand are affected by weather, supply and demand increases and decreases, as well as the impact of input costs, the number of producers, taxes, and income upon the demand for a product as well as the supply.

   The 7th grade will be working on understanding the 27 amendments to the constitution and how they are applied. The students will be given a court case in which they play the role of an attorney writing a letter to the Supreme Court asking them to review that case. in their letter, students will cite ammendments and explain how they apply to that case, asking for a reversal in the judgement.
