ACADEMICS & CURRICULUM

The academic program at Shue-Medill is designed to develop the skills and habits of mind that students will need to be successful in a rigorous high school setting and at the college level.

ENCORE

The Encore Department of Shue's curriculum offers the courses that are not the core courses (math, science, social studies, and language arts).

Encore courses are complimentary to the rest of the curriculum, and are vital to a student's complete education. They include, music, art, keyboarding/computer applications, family /consumer science, physical education, health, and technology education. ENCORE


SPECIAL EDUCATION

Special Education at Shue-Medill Middle School includes a continuum of services for students with disabilities. These services and supports range in intensity from the inclusion setting to more specialized settings.
