International French Partnership

Dear parents and students,

The International French Partnership will start its activities for the 2011-2012 school year in October. Each year, The IFP grows in number and which allows students to get involved in many curricula and extra curricula activities throughout the school. As part of its objectives, the IFP members of the IPF thrive to enhance their academic and cultural experiences in the French class. In this respect, each student will have a pen pal from Henry Barbusse, our sister middle school in France. IN addition, students will participate in fundraising to support the various which encompass field trips to cultural field trip to Philadelphia, celebrations per marking period, School diversity programs, and community service. Students will engage in monthly videoconferences with their peers in France and write letters that will reflect the themes already learned in class.

The IFP is currently recruiting new members to join those who have been working diligently to make this program a success. To participate in the IFP program, students and parents need to agree on the followings:

1. Register for full year French course until 8^th grade.
2. Participate in after school meeting. Please notify Mr. Seck ahead of time in case of an absence.
3. Be involved in activities determined by the group.
4. Be able to mentor others in their academics.
5. Have a positive attitude.

I.F.P will meet every Thursday. Changes of schedule will be announced ahead of time.
