Shue-Medill Science Olympiad team competed in a statewide tournament this March.  Congratulations to the following students who were recognized for their outstanding performances:

Rocks and Minerals, Thomas Carpenter and Josh Zalewski finished 3rd.

Tower, Gabe Gonzalez and Abby Morrell finished 3rd.

Bottle Rockets, Jacob Tims and Brett Winward finished 3rd and Ilicia Cooper and Sarah Hughes finished 5th.

Storm the Castle, Matt Furmato and Alexandra Brevoort finished in 4th.

Forestry, Paul Mulderig and Annamaria Furmato finished 5th.

Disease Detective, Bethany Harrell and Josh Zalewski finished in 5th place.

Meteorology, Josh Zalewski and Bethany Harrell finished 7th.

Water Quality, Abby Morrell and Alexandra Brevoort finished 8th.

Reach for the Stars, Pav Naicker and Matt Furmato finished in 10th place.

The Shue Medill Science Olympiad Team conducted themselves with decorum and sportsmanship.  We are proud of their accomplishments and the behavior they exhibited during this tournament.

Our first meeting was held Wednesday Sept 28th here at Shue - Medill !!!!!!!!!!!!!

We had an overwhelming turnout of students and parents!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you are intersted in joining the Shue Medill Science Olympiad Team,

 please join us for our next meeting at Shue Medill October 13, at 6- 7:30 pm.

For those who were at the meeting and have picked out thier favorite event,

please do some online research regarding that event.
