Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: What is the difference between intramural sports and interscholastic sports?
A: Any student who has a signed permission slip and 30 minutes worth of homework may participate in intramural sports. Intramural participants stay in the building and only play other Shue-Medill student athletes. On the other hand, interscholastic sports require the students to make the team through try-outs, have a 2.0 G.P.A., and bring in a physical form signed by a doctor. The interscholastic sports teams play against the other schools, travel away from the building, and include a weekend tournament.
Q: Is transportation available?
A: After-school buses are available for both the intramural and the interscholastic sports programs. There are no buses provided for the interscholastic weekend basketball tournament.
