Statue of Liberty Field Trip

Dear Parents:

A reminder that the New York field trip will be on Monday, May 10, 2010. Busses will leave at 7:05 AM sharp and return at 6:30 PM. Please help students be here on time. We will be visiting the Statue of Liberty and the Liberty Science Center. Here are a few security Procedures:

  • Visitors to the Park are required to undergo airport style security screening. Visitors to the Monument undergo additional security screening.
  • All persons and property are subject to search. All items considered inappropriate or prohibited will be confiscated and retained by the United States Park Police.
  • Large bags are not allowed on Liberty Island.
  • Backpacks and large umbrellas are not permitted in the Monument. All bags and backpacks should be kept in a locker with a maximum $2.00 fee before entering in the monument.
  • Food (even unopened) and drinks (including water) are not allowed inside the Statue of Liberty.
