NURSES NEWS

Things to remember:

When sending any medications to school whether prescription or over the counter a written permission note must be sent in with the medication. All medication needs to be in a labeled bottle, with students name attached.

Many students complain of headaches, menstrual cramps, aches and pains during the school day. While these complaints make students uncomfortable, it is not our policy to send them home, unless, he/she has a temperature of 100 degrees or more. We are able to give Tylenol (acetaminophen) or Motrin (Ibuprofen) if the parent/guardian has returned the Delaware School Emergency Card containing a check next to the Tylenol/Motrin permission.

All students should bring a change of clothing to be left at school. Many situations arise when students, both girls and boys alike, could use a change of clothes. Examples: Rainy/snowy weather, spilt food items at lunch, personal hygiene…etc. No extra clothing is kept in the nursing office.
