Shue-Medill - Students

TECHNOLOGY EDUCATION PROGRAM

The Technology Education Program is one that allows for students to gain basic skills in using tools, applying critical thinking to projects, and be creative. Students are given projects that lend themselves to today’s technologies and inventions. In all classwork that is done, we include as much cross-curricular information as possible. Students use math skills, science, history, and language arts in many phases of their work. The program is and has been a popular one with students as it let’s them "think outside the box" in ways they might not have thought of before. It gives them a feeling of "I can do that".

The Technology Education staff think that with what students get from the program, they are prepared for the next level whether it be from grade to grade, or in high school. There are also parts of our program at Shue that give students some things that they learn for life.
